The opportunity
Be the engineer the world's largest device makers call when it matters. You take a partner's half-formed idea for an on-device AI agent, shape it into prompts, evals and mobile code, and see it ship on a flagship device.
A young San Francisco research lab building AI agents that run privately on phones, laptops and wearables, seeing the screen and acting across apps without per-app integrations. It sits at the top of a widely watched mobile-agent benchmark, partners with major chip and hardware makers, is backed by top-tier venture firms, and has more than doubled its team in the last six months.
What you will do
- Carry a capability from a first conversation with a hardware partner to a feature running on their flagship device, including prompts, evaluations, mobile code and the launch checklist
- Act as the senior technical lead embedded with one or more partners, spending real time at their offices and labs
- Own complete product surfaces for agent features that run on-device
- Translate research results into partner wins, and partner feedback into roadmap changes
- Build demos that help partnerships close and expand
- By month three, have your work on a partner's launch path
What you bring
- Roughly 3 to 7 years building products, with LLM-powered features shipped to real users on real devices
- Comfort working directly with partners and turning a vague ask into concrete prompt, model and UX decisions
- Range across prompts, evals and mobile code, and the appetite to learn on-device inference quickly
- Zero-to-one or one-to-ten experience at a fast-moving startup
- A strong bias to act now and own outcomes end to end
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco, about six long days a week, and travel internationally to partners

- Forward-deployed, solutions or field engineering with large enterprise or hardware partners
- Mobile, edge or on-device experience
- Consumer AI product experience
Pay and benefits
- Salary range: $150,000 to $200,000 per year. This is the range the client expects to pay in good faith. The final amount depends on experience and other job-related factors.
