The opportunity
A founding seat at a profitable Series A cloud platform that lets engineering teams run production infrastructure on any cloud without the usual cost and complexity. Build across the whole stack, from design to production, and work directly with customers.
A profitable, fast-growing New York company with a second office in San Francisco. Its platform lets teams create production-grade infrastructure on the major clouds, deploy their code and monitor it, so they can focus on their product instead of managing cloud providers. The team is flat and works with many fast-growing startups.
What you will do
- Write production software across the platform's cloud infrastructure surfaces
- Own the full development lifecycle, from architecture to production
- Debug at the deepest levels: virtual machines, logs and root causes
- Read open-source code to debug third-party dependencies
- Work in two-week cycles with full autonomy to propose and drive your own projects
- Talk with customers directly and bring product intuition to infrastructure decisions
What you bring
- Roughly 5 to 8 years building at startups, ideally as a founding or very early engineer
- A record of shipping products end to end, with systems you owned in production
- Real excitement about cloud infrastructure problems
- High agency without a defined playbook
- Calm debugging of complex systems under pressure
- Willingness to work in person in New York
Nice to have
- Networking, Kubernetes, distributed systems or cloud platform experience
- Products that reached meaningful traction
- Zero-to-one product work
Pay and benefits
- Salary range: $200,000 to $270,000 per year. This is the range the client expects to pay in good faith. The final amount depends on experience and other job-related factors.
- 30 days of paid time off
