The opportunity
The first product leader at an AI-native geospatial intelligence platform. Work directly with the founders, engineers and early customers to decide what to build, turning satellite, mapping and spatial data into products people depend on.
A well-funded, early-stage San Francisco company rethinking how organizations work with satellite imagery, remote sensing, maps and large spatial datasets. It is replacing fragmented geographic information system workflows with one AI-driven platform, building its product and technical foundation from scratch.
What you will do
- Set product strategy through deep time with users and prospects, finding where an order-of-magnitude improvement is possible
- Turn overlapping use cases across industries into general frameworks, not one-off solutions
- Build close relationships with design partners and early customers
- Shape the workflows, interfaces and abstractions users rely on
- Work alongside engineering from problem definition to deployment, making build-or-wait calls with incomplete information
- Own prioritization and the loop from usage and conversations back to the roadmap
What you bring
- At least 6 years of product experience, including taking technical products from ambiguity to real customer value at an early-stage startup or highly autonomous team
- Judgment that spans customer problems, technical possibilities and business considerations
- Fluency with APIs, data infrastructure, models, latency and reliability trade-offs
- Real time spent building with modern AI systems
- Strong customer-development instincts
- Willingness to work full-time in person in San Francisco
Nice to have
- Satellite imagery, remote sensing, geospatial or Earth-observation products
- AI or ML platforms, developer tools, data infrastructure or scientific software
- Defense, intelligence, climate, energy, logistics, insurance or agriculture
- Forward-deployed or discovery-heavy roles at a startup
Pay and benefits
- Salary range: $175,000 to $300,000 per year. This is the range the client expects to pay in good faith. The final amount depends on experience and other job-related factors.
- In-office meals
