The opportunity
Build the foundations of an AI agent platform for mission-critical enterprise systems: code search at scale, sandboxing, orchestration and secure deployment into many customer cloud accounts. Greenfield problems with no off-the-shelf answers.
A New York company of about 30 bringing modern AI agents to the decades-old enterprise resource planning software that runs finance, supply chain and manufacturing at most large corporations. The systems it touches cannot break, so reliability, security and observability are central to the work.
What you will do
- Own core platform infrastructure on AWS with infrastructure as code, with a high bar for reliability, scalability and security
- Build what the agents depend on: large-scale code search, authentication, sandboxing, tool calling and orchestration
- Automate deployment across many customer AWS accounts, with access control, single sign-on, audit and data residency, in cloud and on-premise setups
- Work with customer IT and network teams on secure connectivity
- Help strengthen the security and compliance posture
- Push the team's AI-native developer workflow forward
What you bring
- Roughly 3 to 8 years in platform, backend, distributed-systems or infrastructure engineering
- Production Terraform and strong AWS, including networking, VPNs, IAM and compute
- CI/CD experience and code in Python, JavaScript or Go
- The ability to reason from first principles through unfamiliar problems
- Time at an organization with a high engineering bar
- Willingness to work on-site in New York five days a week
Nice to have
- SOC 2 or ISO 27001 experience
- AI or LLM experience
- Strong academic or competitive programming results
Pay and benefits
- Salary range: $200,000 to $400,000 per year. This is the range the client expects to pay in good faith. The final amount depends on experience and other job-related factors.
